Metanoia…

Vision blinded by love,

Path trailed by your shadow,

Heart scarred by your words,

And trust scraped away by your lies.

Shortening life span,

Irreplaceable by man,

Drenched cheeks and parched throat,

No more can I stay afloat.

Moving on like an autumn leaf,

On a puddle, in a faraway desert.

Blades sharp,

And blood warped,

On the floor framing a heart,

With his initials, as its heart!

Lap-tap lap-tap..

Oh no!! What have I done..

I know it’s marked forever in my arm.

And I..

Love the mark, that still calls you, mine.

Though you have left me,

Before a train,

Waiting.. and waiting,

For the signal to turn green.

Serein…..

“……Life can meet love, and love may blow up happy living, but can only love do that?…”

She walked ahead like a doll, amidst the wet sand,

Her messy hair playing with the breeze like a child with a magical wand,

Hands stretched open and out, tearing the flowing wind.

Who was she? Here, at the earliest to be called a morning?

She wasn’t fat nor too skinny. Just a normal woman, no model like clothes or Nike sneakers. She wasn’t filthy, nor pure. Her clothes were loose, hanging over her shoulders and filled with breeze that hit it, seperating it away from her body. Missing were her demeanor of fitness challenges or Instagram posts but why did she have to be on the beach so early?

Serein dropping down slowly, and tenderly.. making her skin shine with blush red, chills running down her body and goosebumps popping up, still she was focussed on something ahead of her.

Her eyes held a blank stare,

And face with expression unaware.

Who was she?

Amaranthine..

‘ why do try to imitate the sky by changing their colors?’

He sat there,

Admiring his world,

His only life and affair.

She rested there as always,

In peace and warmth with his rays.

But his time had come to an end,

And his day took a bend.

It was his resting phase…

But he wanted to change his ways.

His love for her expanded alot,

As he swelled with longing to stay there itself.

Out came his partner,

Who would guard his love through the rough weather.

Pulling him down forcefully,

As the sun bled on the sky,

Spreading the beautiful color:

Amaranthine….

Ode #7: In the creative writing competition

I was standing there confused,

As the room seemed unwelcoming to a stranger who didn’t look profuse.

Eye-blinding light that reflected from somewhere..

For what seemed like a picture of a mare.

My eyes drifted to the metal desk,

Which was as lonely and empty as me.

My hands seemed desperate to touch the mare,

That was now a few inches closer than the distance i could stop to care.

Given a sheet of paper and a pen of ink blue,

“What should I write about?” I had no clue.

Should I throw the sheet away?

In a still position it lay.

My palm moving forward to put my brain’s thought,

On the beautiful white sheet, and the words it caught.

The teacher could spot the places my eyes roam,

But couldn’t what my brain did foam.

And before I could blink was given a book,

Before the audience who never knew how I looked….

Ode #5: Ripost

He stood near the foot of her bed,

Starting to stagger with the burden not said.

Waiting for the arrival of the medicine man,

And his very apologetic ambulance van.

Time ticked away,

As pain swallowed all of the warm water in the tray.

All of the ladies sitting before idols to pray,

Will god give way?

Sirens blew from all corners,

But her pain began to tear her.

Tears flowing from all eyes,

Quivering lips that recited prayers which were nice.

Knock Knock on the door,

The clock struck four.

Two men with caps, pushing in a stretcher,

To put in a lady who was almost having an abdominal fracture.

As the medicine man yells,

To roll it in fast,

Before her body falls.

Pushing her into the four wheeler,

With her man who was than the ambulance taller.

Leaving us with only a trace of hope and prayers.

Will this battle end any sooner ?

Ode #4: Morning misery

Tumbling and rolling around,

In the sheets that I was in bound.

Tightly clutching it to hide me eyes,

Trying to hide my overwhelming size.

But didn’t the modern rooster stop,

Kept up the awakening mop.

I had to wake up now,

Two roosters on planning my head mow.

One being electrical and other of a human form,

Can this get better anymore?

Ode #2: Ovation

Arouse on the carpeted floor,

That hided grass, moss and more.

Gleams up in shimmering light,

Making him proud that he’d take a flight.

When he set a foot on the wooden frame,

The heart that he had brought to tame.

Had swollen as big as a bus,

Exploding itself out and out and thus.

Up arose the crowd,

In shock and awe and pleasure that brew.

All pairs of hands,

That began to kiss each other heedlessly.

No notice of pain or noise,

No care about any poise.

Soon spread to all nation,

To give one of the best ingénue..

The loudest standing ovation.
